The idea of the produce cooperative is to give the public a chance to get fresh fruits and vegetables at better prices and quality than the markets or the store.
We need at least 12 members to purchase on a bi-weekly basis to keep our cooperative successful. However, you do not have to purchase on a bi-weekly basis.
We currently offer what are called Freggie Boxes. We also offer a "per item" order option. Our co-op functions every first and third week of each month YEAR ROUND.
The DCPC welcomes co-op members in the area DC metro area.
DC Produce Co-operative is a project under Healthy Solutions.
Healthy Solutions, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization working to enhance the lives of the underserved, underprivileged, and/or marginalized and to help them make informed decisions.
